I’ve been part of The Creative Outpost’s internship program since the summer of 2022 and still work there today. I operate cameras as part of a multi-camera team, communicate with directors in real time, and train new high school student recruits. I’ve also learned the logistics behind directing a live stream. One of the highlights was getting the opportunity to film for the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs, a collegiate summer league baseball team. Our audience included players’ families, friends, college scouts, and event recruiters. The program blends classroom learning with real event experience, helping me build confidence on set and develop the fast thinking and teamwork skills needed in live production environments.
