NTID Performing Arts 50-Year Retrospective Gallery
Elizabeth Williams Gallery | Fall 2024
Exhibit Curation and Installation
I assisted in curating and installing a retrospective gallery exhibit celebrating 50 years of NTID Performing Arts. The exhibit showcased archival photos, posters, and artifacts that highlighted the program’s rich history and impact within the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
My role included selecting, matting, and framing key images, as well as organizing them into a cohesive visual narrative. I helped plan the wall layouts by decade, ensuring each section flowed naturally and told a meaningful story. Once the planning phase was complete, I took part in the full installation process—measuring, hanging, and fine-tuning the physical arrangement of every piece.
This hands-on experience strengthened my skills in visual storytelling, spatial planning, and creative event support. It also gave me a deeper appreciation for the power of design and curation in shaping how people connect with history, identity, and the arts.
